Assistant Property Manager (Affordable Housing)

Location: Madison, WI

Salary: $50,000 – $56,000

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of an affordable housing community in Madison, WI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience with leasing, collections, and affordable housing compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day operations, resident relations, and leasing activities
• Assist with certifications and recertifications and maintain audit-ready files
• Help manage waitlists, applications, and move-ins in compliance with housing regulations
• Support rent collections, delinquency tracking, and resident communication
• Assist with notices, legal filings, and documentation as needed
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and property data
• Partner with the Property Manager and maintenance team to ensure smooth operations

What You Bring

• 2+ years of property management experience (affordable/LIHTC preferred)
• Knowledge of affordable housing compliance and Fair Housing
• Experience with RealPage, OneSite, Yardi, or similar systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and customer service skills
