Concrete Form Carpenter

Location:  Tullahoma, TN 

Responsibilities:

In this role, you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on the construction site related to concrete placement, preparation, and related tasks. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require assisting other tradespeople, including laborers and other carpenters.

Job Duties: 

• Setting up the forms for edge of slab, sidewalks or walls.
• Building forms
• Pouring concrete raking to proper grade.
• Grading and prepping subgrade
• Spreading and smoothing concrete.
• Tooling expansion joints and edges.
• Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch.
• Adding small stones or other materials for decoration.
• Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work.
• Install wire welded fabric or re-enforcing bar
• Ability to operate a skid loader
• Understand use of a laser level

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in structural concrete construction, preferred
• Experience on projects pouring over 1,000 yds/ day i.e. warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities
• Proficient in the use of industry tools and equipment
• Up to date with the latest technology involving concrete work
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, with an ability to multi-task
• Task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible availability, including some overtime, weekends, and night shifts
• OSHA 10, preferred
• Able to lift at least 35 pounds, unassisted, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to adhere to job specifications and make top-class finishes in concrete work
