Human Resources Director

4R Restaurant Group | Orlando, FL

At 4 Rivers Smokehouse, we’re more than great barbecue - we’re a purpose-driven, people-first organization rooted in faith, family, hospitality, and community. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Director to lead the day-to-day execution of our HR function across a growing multi-location organization. 

This role is ideal for a tactical HR leader who enjoys being actively involved in the operational side of Human Resources while partnering closely with the CEO and CAO to support broader people initiatives and company goals. The HR Director will serve as the driving force behind the execution, administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of all HR processes and programs.

What You’ll Do

As the Human Resources Director, you’ll oversee and actively manage the daily HR operations for the organization, including:

• Employee relations and leadership support
• Talent acquisition and onboarding
• Benefits administration and payroll support
• HR compliance and policy administration
• Workers’ compensation and safety programs
• Performance management processes
• Leave administration and documentation
• HRIS management and reporting
• Team member engagement and recognition initiatives
• Coaching and support for operational leaders
• Development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and employee files

You’ll work closely with operations leaders and provide practical HR guidance and support across the business while helping implement company initiatives and organizational priorities established by executive leadership. 

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with exposure across multiple HR disciplines
• Strong working knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
• Experience supporting multi-location operations
• Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills
• Experience administering HR programs and processes in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally
• Strong communication and leadership coaching skills
• Ability to travel state-wide as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• Restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage industry experience
• PHR or SPHR certification

Schedule

Full-time | Monday–Friday

Based in Orlando, FL with occasional state-wide travel as needed.

4 Rivers Smokehouse began with the launch of the “Barbecue Ministry” in 2004, when John hosted a cookout fundraiser to support a local family whose young daughter was battling cancer. This one event resulted in a passion for supporting local schools, churches, and charitable organizations. After trials, tribulations, and a whole lot of burnt ends, we finally flipped that “Hot Brisket Now” sign on in October of 2009. Within the first hour, a line had formed out the door…and then around the corner.
