Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant – PRN – Brooklyn Clinic

A community-focused private medical practice located in Bushwick, Brooklyn is seeking a Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant to support our clinical providers on a PRN basis. This role primarily focuses on medical scribing and clinical documentation while also assisting with basic medical assistant duties as needed.

This position is ideal for candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in clinical medicine, including pre-med, nursing, PA, or healthcare students seeking exposure to outpatient primary care.

POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: PRN (as needed based on provider schedule)

Compensation: $17 per hour

Setting: Outpatient private practice / primary care clinic

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (MEDICAL SCRIBE)

• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record in real time
• Record patient histories, physical exam findings, and provider assessments
• Assist providers with documentation of treatment plans and follow-up instructions
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of clinical notes Support providers in maintaining efficient patient flow
  

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (MEDICAL ASSISTANT SUPPORT)

• Assist with patient intake and rooming
• Record vital signs and update patient demographics
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
• Assist providers during examinations when needed Support overall clinic workflow and patient experience
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong typing and documentation skills
• Interest in healthcare, medicine, nursing, or allied health professions
• Medical scribe experience preferred but not required
• Medical assistant certification a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
