We are hiring a part-time Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children, families, and staff we serve. This role supports daily operations by keeping therapy rooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas clean, organized, and ready for use.

Position Summary

The Custodian is responsible for routine cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility, including therapy rooms, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and shared spaces. This position also assists with basic facility upkeep and monitoring cleaning supplies to help ensure the center remains well maintained and fully operational each day.

This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an active healthcare and educational environment serving children and families.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility environment
  
• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
  
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, therapy rooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas
  
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout the facility
  
• Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and hygiene materials
  
• Support setup and cleanup for therapy spaces, meetings, or special events
  
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
  
• Help maintain a welcoming and professional environment for staff and families

Requirements

Essential Physical & Functional Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
  
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds
  
• Ability to operate standard custodial equipment and cleaning tools
  
• Comfortable working in an active environment with children, families, and clinical staff
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience required
  
• Experience in a school, healthcare, therapy center, or similar setting required
  
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
