As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu HI you will serve and safeguard the airport its facilities travelers directing and managing flow of traffic enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

• 20 Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check drug screen and physical exam

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances unattended property concerns and other critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals public access areas parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas verify authorized entry when required and report suspicious activity hazards and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear timely reports of daily activities incidents and observations and assist with directional support and general information for the public at this government transportation location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
